As you know we've been learning heart healthy facts at school and jumping rope to strenghen our heart muscles. Many children procured pledges and the money was due today, Feb. 16th. We are extending this due date until next week so everyone has a chance to collect pledges over the long weekend. Don't forget, prizes are earned for as little as $5.00. So bring in your Jump for the Heart pledges first thing next week. Parents....ask your children to share something they learned this week about the heart. You'll be pleasantly surprised.

Want an alternative to waiting in line to pick up? Head on over to the Leo Carrillo Park, and pick up your child there. The park is open Tues. - Friday, and it is only a two minute walk for kids to get to the parking lot via our back gate. It will definitely be a good alternative to our parking lot. And on Mondays, you can still pick up by the community pool, just outside the Leo Carrillo Park main gate. Save time, save energy, give it a try!
Is there anyone who doesn't shop regularly at Target? Did you know that you can earn money for Carrillo just by shopping at one of your favorite stores? With all of those great products and expanded grocery offerings, it is a total win-win! And you don't need to open a credit card account! Target offers a Debit Card option & they will give you 5% off of all of your purchases, plus they will give 1% back to Carrillo as well. This is a GREAT WAY to make extra money for Carrillo amidst all of the impending budget cuts hitting next year.
